About Us

The Tidal Waves are happy to announce that we are the 2024 New Jersey NICA State Champions.  


The Jersey Shore Tidal Waves (JSTW) team is a mountain biking team comprised of private, public and homeschool school student-athletes in grades 6-12 from Monmouth and Ocean Counties in NJ. The team competes in the New Jersey Interscholastic Cycling League, a league of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). Founded in 2009, NICA develops interscholastic mountain biking programs for student-athletes across the United States. NICA provides leadership, services, coach licensing and training, insurance, and governance for local leagues to produce quality mountain bike events.  Whether you are a seasoned mountain biker or new to the sport you have a place on our team.

Upcoming Team Events

Here are the upcoming events for the Jersey Shore Tidal Waves.  We are currently in our preseason.  For new riders to the team you MUST attend a Saturday 'try it out' prior to attending a Wednesday evening practice.  Regular season starts December 1st.  Please contact us if you have any questions.
